Relational Covenant
Christ’s Community Church
As people reconciled to God through the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, we believe that we are called to live together in a way that reflects the mind of Christ. In all interactions our goal is to glorify God, by allowing Scripture to guide our thoughts, attitudes, and actions. Therefore, we commit to the following covenant for loving relationships and values to guide our ministry in a Christ-like manner.
  • We covenant to value each other as a gift from God, offer our opinions with clarity and humility, and lift up negative feelings to God in prayer (Colossians 3:12-14).
  • We covenant to speak the truth with a loving heart to develop unity in the body of Christ (Ephesians 4:15-16).
  • we covenant to allow discipline in our life by actively listening to others without responding in anger (James 1:19-20).
  • We covenant to make our thoughts captive to the obedience of Christ by discussing any concerns, criticisms, or suggestions directly with the person or persons involved and to reconcile as much as possible before bringing the matter to leadership (Matthew 18:15, Romans 12:18).
  • We covenant to use our words and actions to build up and strengthen the body of Christ in the context of Christ’s Community Church. (Ephesians 4:29-32)..
We covenant to practice these spiritual disciplines in obedience to God and out of a desire to live our lives with a Christlike attitude. In doing so we seek to cultivate a culture of peace and harmony in our church and in our everyday lives (Philippians 2:1-11).
